Bright Nickel plating

Nickel plating is preferred for its high corrosion resistance and wear resistance, apart from the lustrous glow it offers. Numerous automobile part, coins, cellphones, musical instruments are plated with nickel. Nickel serves as the base for other platings as it can be plated chemically without using current and can be plated on non conductive materials like plastic. Chrome, silver and gold are often plated after a coat of nickel for durable and shine.

Bright nickel plating produces a bright mirror like finish and it offers good conductivity but is not as ductile or corrosion resistant as other types of nickel plating. It has high leveling properties which hide polishing lines and other imperfections on the surface of the material. Usually applied to steel, aluminium, copper, brass and iron for clean and bright finish.
